What do you need to have a live NFL fantasy draft at your house?

Havin some friends over for our fantsasy draft. What do I need?

2. Alcohol & plenty of it.
3. Quick wit so you can mock the guy who takes a K in round 2.

Lisa asks…

How long does a live NFL Fantasy draft usually take?

An estimate please.

admin answers:

We draft in the back room of a local sports bar and usually take 3 to 4 hours for a large league, but you can do it faster. If you're doing an on-line draft, the one's I've done take about 90 minutes.

Ruth asks…

nfl fantasy live draft HELP?

i do nfl fantasy on nfl.com and im about to sign up for a live draft this year. it says the earliest dates for to join for a live draft is july 17th. i remember last year the date being much earlier. anyone know why the live draft leagues are so late??? thx

admin answers:

Well actually, when i was signing up for fantasy football on there, i looked through the calender and you can join leagues that have their drafts everyday from now until the day before the first game of the season.

So you must have joined a league that started their draft a little later than you wanted because so many people joined the leagues with earlier drafts.

You could make your own league and have the draft whenever you want but you may have trouble having people join it because a lot of people like me like to join late drafts because you get to learn more about rookies and rising athletes throughout the summer before the season starts.

Paul asks…

What are live drafts on NFL Fantasy Football?

Mine says it starts Sep. 3 Saturday 5:00 PM and it's already 5 so how long do I have to wait and what are live ones?

admin answers:

"live drafts" mean that people in the league are actually drafting players from their computer at that time, as opposed to the computer automatically drafting players for you based on everyone's pre-rankings chart.

If yours is at 5 and hasn't started, I'd check with the commisioner ASAP.

admin answers:

Random

Betty asks…

How do you change the trade pending time on Yahoo NFL Fantasy?

So my family and i are doing a NFL fantasy league and im trying to do a trade but it takes like 3days to let the trade pend. I am the Commissioner so i would be able to change it so please help!

admin answers:

You can change it in the settings to make it so trades are reviewed by the commish and you can click allow trade and it will go through. To do this go to commish tools. Then to edit league settings then change the trade review type from league votes to commissioner and there you go now you can go back to the trade and click allow and the trade will instantly go through

Questions About Nfl Bye Weeks 2010

Charles asks…

Grade my nfl 2010 fantasy draft?

QB- Chad Henne
RB- Chris Johnson, Deangelo Williams(Im trying to trade him for Jamaal Charles)
WR- Randy Moss, Anquan Boldin, Greg Jennings(Trying to trade him for Larry Fitzgerald. Greg Jennings is projected to get more points but its Larry Fitz.)
TE- Tony Gonzalez
K- Stephen Gostkowzki
Defense- Dallas Cowboys

Bench
QB- Matt Cassel
RB-Brandon Jacobs, Michael Bush
WR- Braylon Edwards
TE- John Carlson
DEF- Cincinnati Bengals

I have also worked it out so that there are no bye week conflicts. There will always be someone to replace a starter.
Its a 10 team league. the nfl.com one

admin answers:

Ouch- Chad Henne? You obviously picked your QB very late.

Great RBs, acquiring Jamaal Charles would improve it, definitely.

Moss is a 1000+ yard receiver, as is Anquan Boldin who will now be receiving Flacco's passes. Greg Jennings and Larry Fitzgerald are very good, so I don't think it really matters which way you switch them. I would take Jennings this year because Leinart will be QB for the Cards.

TE and K both fine.

Cowboys projected 2nd most points for a defense this year. Nice.

Your overall rating will be 9/10, but I'm assuming this is a very small league, so the smaller it is, the lower my ranking.

Good Luck!

Betty asks…

Rate my 2010 NFL fantasy draft?

Its NFL.com's fantasy game so 10 teams.

QB- Drew Brees, Eli Manning
HB- Jamaal Charles, Pierre Thomas, Jonathon Stewart
WR- Miles Austin, Santana Moss, Terrell Owens, Hakeem Nicks, Kenny Britt
TE- Dallas Clark, Greg Olsen
K- Rob Bironas
DEF- Minnisota Vikings, NY Giants

I think I did an amazing job with this draft. Good depth and I have bye week replacements for each position except the kicker.

What do you guys think???

admin answers:

Its alright your rbs look a little weak. Thomas will split carries most likely 3 ways (they brought in Ladell Betts for a workout this week) and he will lose some value because of it. Jon stewart will most likely be your other starter. Your WR are ok Austin will do well and Moss will most likely go over 1000yrds receiving but I'm not to high up there on T.O. But your others are good depth. Also I don't know if I would have drafted two defenses.
I would give it a 7/10

@Roger619 I actually do think the Lions will show some upside late in the season.. they'll start off slow like at 1-6 but Matthew Stafford will start showing what he can do.. Him and Calvin Johnson Jr. will be dangerous and threatening like shaub and johnson.. I actually see them gettin in the playoffs the 2011-2012 season if they build on defense and add another reciever to compliment stafford
@Eric You will see actually how good the eagles are! Kevin Kolb will be a beast next year.. D. Jackson is a beast.. They have one of the best recieving team in the league! D Jack (top 10 WR), Jeremy Maclin, Trent Celek!!! And if LeSean McCoy have a good season they're gonna be dangerous!!! U mite be rite about the Lions I didnt get the chance to look at there schedule
@FAVRE How can you possibly think that the Ravens will get worse this year than last year.. doesnt make any sense

admin answers:

Listen, I am a die hard Jets fan. So i will disagree withe u in the super bowl. Good decision with the afc east. To me, da COLTS, will not win da super bowl but they have a great chance of going. Da JETS have a great chance of going because they stacked up on OFFENSE and DEFFENSE. AFC NORTH, SOUTH, EAST, and WEST look good. NFC SOUTH looks good. TO me VIKES take first in da NORTH. COWBOYS take first in da EAST. DA CARDS will take da west
