Questions About Nfl Network Comcast Channel

Susan asks…

what channel is nfl network on comcast ?

admin answers:

260

Paul asks…

nfl network and comcast!!!!!!!!?

http://www.nfl.com/nflnetwork/story?id=09000d5d81065fa0&template=without-video-with-comments&confirm=true

i just read on nfl website that comcast and nfl network finally agreed to a ten year contract...i have comcast, will i have to subscribe to nfl network channel,if so how much? and does this whole deal mean that the nfl sunday ticket will be available to pay for?

admin answers:

No, you don't have to subscribe. NFL Network was already available for Comcast, but they were about to discontinue carrying it because NFL Network was charging Comcast too much money, but they settled on a new deal. It's included in the sports package, which is less than $20, annd comes with other sports channels too. I think that NFL sunday ticket is available only for Direct TV customers but i'm not sure.

Steven asks…

Does anyone know what channel the "NFL Network" comes on on Comcast (Detroit Channel)?

admin answers:

It is on Comcast. Channel 180 and 246 (HD)

If you wanna find out about if it is on Detroit, click this link: http://www.comcast.com/michigan/default.html

Daniel asks…

why cant i watch the mlb network channel on comcast?

i already have the nba nhl and nfl channels so why cont i watch this one?

admin answers:

As of now, conflicting answers from Comcast and MLB Network. Double check w/Comcast in your area. You may have to choose whether to upgrade your cable package(more $ per month), or complain to Comcast.

Per call to Comcast rep, I will have to pay $15 extra for "Digital Classic" package, over my "Digital Starter", to watch it

But,per MLB Network CEO Tony Pettiti, "If you have digital cable," Petitti said, "you're going to get the Network." see link below at mlbnetwork.mlb.com

"According to MLB Network, the distribution deal brokered with all carriers is that all must broadcast on the digital basic, or the carrier’s equivalent, a key difference from early reports. " see link below at Bizofbaseball.com

Bizofbaseball.com is taking viewer access complaints to MLB Network. They would like some basic info from anyone in similar situation. Please add your info at their site, linked below.

This looks like a possible national dispute between MLB and Comcast(who owns a % of MLB Network) on what "digital basic" means.

Questions About Nfl Channel Time Warner

Robert asks…

Will Time Warner get the NFL channel ?

Also on the phone services of Time Warner , Do they offer unlimited long distance calling through out the US?

I think SBC / AT&T does

admin answers:

Of course it is unlimited through the US, and I believe Canada and Mexico and maybe Puerto Rico(not too sure about them but pretty sure it is through North America). Will they get the NFL Channel? I hope not. At least not unless the NFL stops being so stubborn about it. The NFL INSISTS it has to be put on "basic" cable so it reaches as many people as possible and they can charge more, making it so Time Warner will have to raise their rates and they say it would be $1-2 if I remember correctly. Time Warner WANTED to have the NFL Network but they were going to put it on the Digital Tier.

Thomas asks…

Is the NFL Channel coming to Time Warner Cable?

admin answers:

Their still trying to get a contract

Lisa asks…

Has the NFL made any progress with Time Warner Cable as far as adding the NFL Channel?

Time Warner Cable is being d*cks, from what I understand.

I hate that I can't get NFL Channel in my area!!!!
To the guy below...

That's becuse Time Warner wanted to charge NFL an arm and a leg. More than any other cablel company is paying for their product.

What's so special about TW Cable and why should they get more than any other cable company?

So they said, if you want to pay this and make it a premium channel, fine. Otherwise go pound sand.

NFL wanted to sell their product a nominal fee that the other companies are happy to pay, so it wouldn't be to expensive for people to enjoy, and thus make it available to everyone.

TW Cable wouldn't "have to" raise everyone's rates, they could pay NFL a nominal fee for their product like the other cable companies, and absorb any differences. They're making a ton as it is.

TW is screwing NFL fans. You're wrong.

admin answers:

Yeah man it sucks!!

Im a die hard college football fan, but i do love the NFL as well..i was stoked to be able to get college channels all over the country, but when i asked to add an NFL channel the guy acted like i was speaking a diff language!!!

(i live in S.D., CA)

Carol asks…

Is the arena football league (AFL) in talks with any tv channels on time warner cable?

I know they have been on NFL network but I don't get that...are they in talks to get on TWC for the 2011 season??? I really liked watching the AFL and would like to start watching it again

admin answers:

It appears the only channel that will broadcast the AFL is the NFL network. If you don't get it, the NFL network has a link on channelsurfing.net, you should be able to watch it there.

Questions About Nfl Broadcast Schedule

Ruth asks…

NFL schedule has been announced, when will we have the confirmation Yahoo will broadcast again the games ?

admin answers:

They will most like tell us in mid summer that was when they had tolled us in the past

Susan asks…

How do I watch NFL games after they are broadcast?

Hey guys I can't afford DirecTV or Comcast NFL package...is there a way to watch NFL games after they are broadcast? Damn NBC only shows live games but you can't watch them afterwards...and my schedule is pretty busy during Sunday 8 pm so I end up missing the games most of the time.

Do you guys know any where (preferably online) where I can watch these games?

admin answers:

The best option there is to watch NFL Replay on NFL Network. It's free and cuts out long parts & time outs. They usually air the whole week after the game. Better keep a look out for the schedule too, cuz the next time they'll probably air is when those teams collide again.

Ken asks…

Daniel asks…

In Canada next year, the CFL will only be available on cable, while the NFL will be on broadcast TV. Thoughts?

Do you think the CFL is shooting itself in the foot by going from the CBC to TSN after 55 years?

The NFL is regularly scheduled on CTV now.

admin answers:

TSN already has better coverage and they will be selling their package to ESPN in the US which means a larger potential fan base and exposure so some kids who may even seek to play here after college as a result. Although this does hurt some fans who do not have cable, it may convince some people to switch to express-vue or the like to get the satelite feed.
In the long run, this may hurt the league but, in the short term, the league gets more money from TSN. The CBC blew it's money on the NHL and couldn't afford to compete. Do you remember when the CFL games were also on CTV? And now they are broadcasting the NFL. There's the real crux of this. Our biggest private network bailed on the league long ago. Our second biggest network never bothered to get involved. Whose fault is that? The league's or the fan's or the network's?
