Questions About Nfl Schedule 2010 Opponents

Nancy asks…

When do the NFL regular season schedules come out for the 2010 season?

Just wondering when my favorite team's schedule will come out. The site has the 2010 season opponents listed...just not the time, date, or order.

admin answers:

Next week.

Sandy asks…

2009-2010 NFL Season?

I was wondering if anybody knew if they've released the NFL schedule for next season or a list of opponents?
steeler nation.....i can tell you are a Steelers fan!!!! anyway, the NFL schedule is set up 3-4 years in advance other than 2 games. that is FACTUAL...research it

admin answers:

Not yet. It's based off how the final standings end up.

Richard asks…

What do you think of your team's schedule for 2010?

Although dates and times wont be released til Tuesday night, the home and away opponents have been known for quite some time now

http://www.nfl.com/news/story?id=09000d5d8157a75c&template=with-video-with-comments&confirm=true

My team is the Steelers, and although there are more pressing issues right now than who we play this season, I say it is a moderately tough schedule with some tough games (@ New Orleans, Jets and Falcons at home, Baltimore twice) and some easy games (Cinci twice, Cleveland twice [although they will be improved], @ Tampa, @ Buffalo) but from last year I know that even the easy games arent guaranteed wins
@ Jason B.

The Bengals are highly overrated and got lucky last season. They finished 3-5 with their wins coming over the Browns, Chiefs, and Lions and none of those wins in convincing fashion

admin answers:

Well, this is our schedule (not in order, of course)
AWAY: Steelers, Lions, Browns, Broncos, Bears, Dolphins, Patriots, Bills
HOME: Bengals, Ravens, Vikings (YES!), Packers, Texans, Dolphins, Patriots, Bills

I think we will go 13-3, our only losses to Houston, Denver, and to somebody in our division.

J-E-T-S!

Lizzie asks…

would you trade your team's schedule for the cardinals'?

http://espn.go.com/nfl/team/_/name/ari/arizona-cardinals
their opponents combined W/L from 2010 is the worst in the league, which gives them the easiest SOS on paper. Road games at Baltimore, Minnesota and Philadelphia as well as home games against Dallas, New York (Giants), and Pittsburgh and home and away games against St. Louis make the schedule a little more interesting that it would seem in my opinion. Do you think it is the easiest in the NFL, and would you want your team to have a schedule like this? Especially for you NFC fans

admin answers:

Looks like a great way to have your schedule set up. Start out easy to get the new guys used to being with the team. Get the hard games out of the way before the season has worn you down. And then finish the season in a cakewalk that closes the season out on a high note.

Bidwell must have finally gotten off his wallet and sent it to the schedulers. Based on last year, I guess it is the easiest SOS. But, the Seahawks have made improvements in several positions (not QB) and rhe Rams should be better. We'll see how easy it really is. I am a Cardinals fan who loves the way the schedule is set up.

Questions About Nfl Schedule Week 11

Betty asks…

Why are there no teams with a bye on Week 10?

I noticed on the NFL schedule that teams have byes up until Week 9, then there's a week with no byes scheduled on Week 10, then the last 4 teams to get a bye have it on Week 11. Just wondering why they skipped that week.

admin answers:

It has to do with the precautions the NFL took this year in case of a lockout. One other anomaly in the schedule that very few people seem to notice is that usually byes start during week 4, but this year byes start week 5. This gave the NFL a few extra weeks to work with in case they missed any time because of the lockout. This way, if they lost the first two or three weeks, they could still start off the regular season with every team playing instead of having teams with byes during the very first week of play. Due to scheduling conflicts, they could only work it out that there would be byes week 11 and not during week 10.

Carol asks…

11 Weeks into the NFL season. What grade from A to F would you give the head coach of your favorite NFL team?

Be fair and take in consideration the following.

Their current overall talent
Team injuries
2007 Drafting
Toughness of their schedule
Amount of dumb penalties. ( Team discipline. )
Beating rivals
Play calling
You get where I'm going with this.

admin answers:

Cowboys
Wade Philips
He inherited a talented young team. No major injuries(crossing my fingers) Ferguson is the only major one but Tank has helped Ratliff solidify that position. There has been a lot of stupid a penalties but since they owned up to them now, we shall see if there are less.
They have taken it to the eagles, redskins and Giants this season so far are undefeated in their division.
Play calling has been great.
I will give Wade a B+. Only because he has kept the team together. And they seem to be responding to his demands. T.O. Is not the T.O. Of old in the locker room. That alone should tell you that Wade is doing a great job with the team.

Michael asks…

Game of the Week for Week 11?

Obviously, when the NFL and the tv people set the schedule for this year, they were thinking that the Colts vs Chargers game would be huge this week. It still is a compelling game to watch, anytime those two teams play it's fireworks. Probably 80 points will be scored between the two.

But the Pack vs the Falcons...what a great game! And next week's MNF game is the Patriots vs the Jets. The winners of these two games could possibly meet again in Jerry Jones' monstrosity.

What's your "Game of the Week"?

admin answers:

First Off this is Week 12

Second Game Of The Week? Simple: Green Bay @ Atlanta
The 2 best teams in the NFC Head to Head in the hardest place to play in the NFL The Georgia Dome. I go with my Falcons to win this one

Ruth asks…

Weird NFL scheduling quirk...?

Can anyone figure out why NFL teams have bye weeks in weeks 5 through 9 as well as week 11, but not week 10? There's got to be some sort of reason right? I can't seem to find any explanation.

admin answers:

Mainly its just a quirk in the schedule i think week 12 is the thanksgiving week where some teams play on Thursday and needs to give them time off

Link to scheduled opponents for all teams:
http://www.usatoday.com/sports/football/nfl/2011-regular-season-schedule-matchups.htm

I know this season isn't over yet for all teams, but what's your opinion on the matchups?

admin answers:

LOL Whats up buddy. I guess me and you are going to be battle one another since the Raiders and the Packers play next year. This will be the first time the Packers have been out to Oakland since Brett Favre's father died and he had the game of his life. I remember that game like it was yesterday and I have never rooted for the Raiders to lose other than that night. Anyway to answer your question I am looking forward to playing the NFC North teams and I can see the Raiders possibly going 3-1 against the NFC North teams. As for the other teams we play nothing special on there. I am just looking forward to beating the Green Bay Packers next season. Hope you will still be my buddy

Sandy asks…

When will they release the schedules for the 2010/2011 NFL Season?

admin answers:

All you guys (and us gals as well) need to stay tuned for tonight's ESPN broadcast. Depending on which time zone you live in... You need to check your local listing to find out the full scoop.

Questions About Nfl Schedule 2010 Packers

Carol asks…

What are your 2010 NFL predictions?

AFC West:
Chargers: 11-5 (tomlinson is only good for the red zone now and their defense isnt the greatest.)
Broncos: 10-6 (better depth at most positions, better d-line, WR is a question mark tho and so is run defense)
Raiders: 7-9 (campbell is an upgrade over russell and gradkowski)
Chiefs: 6-10
AFC South
Colts: 12-4
Titans: 12-4 (tennessee went 8-2 after starting vince young) (indianapolis wins division. they can beat the titans)
Texans: 10-6
Jaguars: 5-11 (the d-line still is gonna suck, and so will WR's.)
AFC North:
Ravens: 13-3 (they were a good team even without boldin or stallworth. now WITH them, another DT to go along with ngata, and more pass rush, expect the ravens to kick some a$$ this season.
Steelers: 8-8 (roethlisberger out 6 games, defensive backfield is a question mark, o-line is still a ?, only have mendenhall for RB, and only have hines ward for WR.)
Bengals: 7-9 (harder schedule)
Browns: 6-10 (made some improvements)
AFC East
Jets: 12-4 (added a red zone threat, better corner depth and DE depth. plus sanchez is getting better (maybe)
Dolphins: 10-6 (adding Marshall and dansby is a good help)
Patriots: 8-8 (welker maybe gone for 2010, defense isnt great and nether is running game)
Bills: 4-12
NFC West
49ers: 9-7
Seahawks: 6-10
Cardinals: 4-12
Rams: 3-13
NFC North
Vikings 12-4
Bears: 10-6
Packers: 9-7
Lions: 6-10
NFC South
Saints: 13-3
Panthers: 10-6
Falcons: 8-8
Buccaneers: 5-11
NFC East
Cowboys: 11-5
Giants: 10-6
Redskins: 8-8
Eagles: 7-9 (i dont know if kolb can be good an entire season)

What are your predictions?

admin answers:

AFC WEST
Chargers 9-7
Broncos 9-7
Raiders 5-11
Chiefs 5-11
AFC SOUTH
Cots 12-4
Texans9-7
Titans 9-7
Jaguars 6-10
AFC NORTH
Ravens 12-4
Cincy 8-8
Pitt 7-9
Browns 5-11
AFC EAST
Jets 11-5
Miami 10-6
NE 9-7
Buffalo 4-12
NFC WEST
49ers 10-6
Cards 8-8
Seattle 7-9
Rams 2-12
NFC NORTH
Vikings 12-4
Packers 10-6
Chicago 9-7
Lions 6-10
NFC South
Saints 11-5
Falcons 10-6
Panthers 6-10
Bucs 5-11
NFC East
Cowboys 10-6
Redskins 10-6
Giants 9-7
Eagles 7-9

Just off the top of my head. But thats how I would rate the teams. I'm a huge Bronco fan but think you have the AFC West rated to high. I think the Broncos can contend for the Division because the Chargers will fall a bit, they lost a lot of key players without replacing them this spring. I think the west can be won with 9-7 or 10-6 record.

Michael asks…

My 2009-2010 NFL Predictions, comment?

Chiefs 8-8 Castel improves O
Broncos 7-9 New H/C
Raiders 4-12 Al Davis

AFC South
Colts 11-5 Peyton
Texans 9-7 If QB improves then this team could be dangerous
Jaguars 9-7 Rashean Mathis leads in interceptions good D + ok O
Titans 7-9 Defense progressively worsens

AFC North
Steelers 12-4
Ravens 6-10 (Lose veteran leadership on D)
Browns 3-13
Bengles 2-14 Loss of Housh + little Chemistry
NFC South
Falcons 12-4 Turner + D
Saints 10-6 Elite O but metiocre defense

Bucs 5-11 Rebuilding process

NFC East

Cards 5-11 very questionable depending on QB status

NFC North
Packers 10-6
Vikings 8-8 QB?

Robert asks…

NFL Division Champs for 2009-2010 Season?

Just want to know some opinions. Here's mine.

AFC East: Patriots. This all comes down to Brady. The supporting cast is better and deeper than it was in '07 but will Brady be able to successfully return at 100%? Even if he doesn't this division is pretty weak since the Fins have a very tough schedule. I think they will be be a better team with a worse record than last year.
AFC North: Steelers. I predict a sophomore slump for Flacco.
AFC West: Chargers. Not a great team, simply better than the rest. Hopefully the return of Merriman will spark the bolts defense.
AFC South: Colts. Manning's comments on the coaching does not concern me. After all who is really calling the plays on offense. I'll give you a hint, he is not on the sidelines.

AFC Wildcard #1: Baltimore Ravens
AFC Wildcard #2: Houston Texans

NFC East: Eagles. The giants without Burress just has not been the same team. The cowboys will continue to be a disaster and don't even get me started on the skins.
NFC North: This Division could be very interesting. I know Da Bears are a popular pick with the addition of Cutler, but who is he going to throw the ball to? Vikings have QB instability but who cares who is throwing the ball, they are all about the backfield and they have the best in the business. Vikings win the division again.
NFC West: The luck of the Super Bowl Losers is very low. The chance of a Cards repeat trip is very unlikely. My riskiest pick by far, I think the Singletary-led 49ers will take this division.
NFC South: The Saints. History shows that the loser of the NFC South of one year wins the division the next year. If the Saints defense can become even half-decent, this becomes one of the best teams around.

NFC wildcard #1: Giants. Even without a legitimate vertical threat the Giants remain a contender.
NFC Wildcard #2: Packers: Rodgers is the real deal with numbers to back it up. If the Pack's conversion to the 3-4 defense is successful this team should be a contender. Look for Ryan Grant to make an impact or take a pay cut.
Well, thanks for the responses. I can't understand why anybody would think the Dolphins could win the AFC East this year. They have the toughest schedule in the NFL this year and unlike the Steelers they don't have the ability to overcome that hump. Don't get me wrong, I like what Parcells is doing down there, they are a young, talented team but let's face it the Wildcat worked in one game against the Pats. They could not even use the formation with success for two games against the Pats. Additionally the Pats best cb is probably Leigh Bodden, Ellis Hobbes is with the Eagles now.

admin answers:

AFC East: Patriots- They got lots of acquisitions and Brady will be healthy
AFC North : Steelers-so far, the defending champions are the best team on the board
AFC West: Chargers- will definatly be very good this year. They are rising and Philip Rivers is a future star
AFC South: Colts- Payton Manning is amazing and can take them to the playoffs

AFC Wildcard 1: Houston Texans - they are gonna be a threat
AFC Wildcard 2: Ravens - they were good last year, they will be good this year. Flacco will have more experience. Titans and Dolphins will miss it by 1 game

NFC East: Giants- Defense wins games. Eli will be better and learn to be more accurate. Their running game and their D-line is beast. Eagles are very good but they dont have the same D as the Giants, so they will miss it by 1 game

NFC Norh: Vikings - Don't get me wrong, the Bears will be very good, but with the Vikings getting Percy Harvin, he will be able to run, catch, play the wildcard, and even do the option for them.

NFC West: Cardinals - with Warner comming back, and Larry Fitzgerals, and Bennie Wells, they top the 49ers.

NFC South - Falcons - I would say, either the Buccs or the Falcons. THis is a tough devision. Panthers will have a slump season, siants dont have a good D.

NFC Wildcard 1: Eagles - very good team
NFC Wildcard 2: Bears - Cutler will lead them to the playoffs. Buccs and packers miss it by 1, cowboys and 49ers by 2.

THe AFC playoffs will be:

Patriots, Steelers, Chargers, Colts, Texans, Ravens

THe NFC playoffs will be:
Giants, Vikings, Cardinals, Falcons, Eagles, Bears

Hope it helped

This is surely a joke.

Carol asks…

Predict the Denver Broncos' 2010 season.?

Predict the Broncos record this year and their playoff status.

Some notes:
---all-pro LB Elvis Dumervil will miss at least half of the season
---Jarvis Moss and DJ Williams are 2 very talented linebackers
---all-pro LT Ryan Clady should be back this week, he led the NFL in least sacks allowed last year
---Eddie Royal, Jabar Gaffney, and rookie Demaryius Thomas are all very good receivers, and Daniel Graham is a very good TE.
---RB Knowshon Moreno (when he returns from an injury soon) is a very good young running back
---QB Kyle Orton had the best season of his career last year and is entering his 2nd season with Denver, and just got a contract extension
---Safety Brian Dawkins, CB Champ Bailey, and CB Andre Goodman are still on Denver's defense.
---Denver's defensive line has improved with the additions of Justin Bannan and Jamal Williams.

Last year, Denver started 6-0 but went 2-8 in their last 10 games and finished the season 8-8, just barely missing the playoffs.

Schedule:
Jaguars
Seahawks
Colts
Titans
Jets
Raiders
49ers
BYE
Chiefs
Chargers
Rams
Chiefs
Cardinals
Raiders
Texans
Chargers

Think about it all carefully because I think too many people are underestimating the Denver Broncos.

I predict they'll go 10-6 and get the Wild Card.
Sorry. Forgot the Ravens in between the Titans and the Jets. I still think they'll go 9-7 or 10-6. Adam, are you crazy? What makes you think they'll only win 5 games? They have a lot of great players and only made improvements this offseason, so what makes you think they'll be 3 games worse than last season?

The only teams that they SHOULD lose to are the Colts, Ravens, Jets, Chargers (twice), and the Titans. That's only 6 losses. The Jaguars, Seahawks, Raiders (twice), 49ers, Rams, Cardinals, and Chiefs (twice) should all be wins for sure, and that's 9 wins. The Texans I'm not sure about, because the two teams are about equal.

First of all there are no guaranteed wins or losses in the NFL ever. Denver Broncos aren't a very good team quite frankly. There offense is going to be disastrous. Kyle Orton is semi-solid qb. And you consider Eddie Royal, Jabar Gaffney and ROOKIE receiver Demaryius Thomas very good? No no, I consider players like steve smith, desean jackson, sidney rice and roddy white very good receivers. The denver receiving core is pretty average. Knowshon has potential to be very good but he's probably going to be aggravated by injury a lot of the season and have a strong 1000 yard season. Your lines the greatest aspect of the offense. Now that defensive backfield is good, but everyone on it is out of there prime. Bailey still pretty good, Dawkins isnt a top 5 safety anymore, and Goodman is solid. Without Dumerville your defense will suffer without a pass rushing threat. Anywhere from 5-11 to 9-7 is where the broncos will themselves this season. But 12-4, 13-3?? You wont be seeing those numbers untill you can maintain a good team for one or two years.

John asks…

What should the Eagles do with McNabb?

McNabb doesn't need to get traded The Eagles need to build talent around him. McNabb hasn't had any talent around him in his entire NFL career. And don't say T.O.(Terrell Owens) he's nothing. We need to stop putting the blame on McNabb and look at everything you said wrong. It's not McNabb's fault he gets sacked. It's not his fault he gets pressured by the Defense and throws interceptions(Rarely throws interceptions. It's not his fault he's prone to injury. It's not his fault he he holds the ball TOO LONG. this is the offensive lines fault. WHAT YOU NEED TO DO IS FIX THOSE DAMN HOLES ON DEFENSE AND GET SOME DAMN GOOD BLOCKER FOR McnABB . MCNABB NEED BLOCKERS SO HE CAN HAVE MORE TIME AND KNOW WHERE TO THROW THE BALL. Y'ALL JUST LET THE DEFENSE FALL OVER YOU AND LET HIM GET SACKED AND HURT. KEEP MCNABB. BECAUSE WHEREVER YOU TRADE HIM AND IF ITS MINNESOTA . AND HE WINS A SUPER BOWL WITH MINNESOTA WE'RE GONNA LOOK STUPID . AND YOU'RE GONNA WISH YOU HAD KEPT HIM. YOU'RE GONNA BE LIKE OH DAMN MCNABB HAS ONE A SUPER BOWL . OH MY GOD WE'RE SO EMBARRASSED AND NOW WE ALL FEEL STUPID BECAUSE WE TRADED HIM!! DAMN STOP DISRESPECTING PLAYERS . IT'S JUST LIKE HOW Y'ALL DISRESPECTED 36WEST & SHAWN ANDREWS. I UNDERSTAND WHY Y'ALL CUT SHAWN. BECAUSE HE COULD NEVER STAY HEALTHY . YOU KNOW WHY? BECAUSE Y'ALL KEPT RUSHING HIM TO PLAY AND HE MESSED HIMSELF UP AGAIN. HE COULD'VE BEEN GOOD IF YOU GIVEN HIM ALOT MORE TIME. AND JASON PETERS? THAT'S A GOOD ADDITION BUT YOU NEED A LITTLE MORE WORK DONE TO THE O-LINE. I WOULD SERIOUSLY CONSIDER DRAFTING USC TAYLOR MAYS AND LATER DRAFT A O-LINE. BUT TRUST ME PUT SOME TALENT AROUND MCNABB!!! IF Y'ALL GOING TO TRADE HIM AND MISS THE PLAYOFFS NEXT SEASON IT'S Y'ALL FREAKING PROBLEM NOT MINE!!! . Y'ALL KNOW Y'ALL NEED HIM FOR THAT TOUGH 2010 SCHEDULE. BUT I AM GOING TO SAY THIS ONCE , BE CAREFUL WHAT YOU WISH FOR.

Helen asks…

NFL Schedule?

When is the NFL going to release it's full regular season schedule?

admin answers:

The NFL is brilliant, they don't release the schedule all at once, they give it to us piece by piece. First, they give us the season openers and first MNF games. Next, they'll probably give us the rest of the MNF schedule. After that, they will give us the dates on some key rivalry games, Colts vs. Pats, Cowboys vs. Giants, etc. Then finally they will give us all of the other fill ins.

Joseph asks…

nfl schedule?

Does anybody know where i could find a 2007-2008 NFL schedule that is on a spreadsheet like Microsoft Excel?

admin answers:

I have never seen a schedule in that form and I am on football sites all day. It may be easier to just make your own on Excel. That way it will be exactly what you want and you can add things to it that you want to.

Ruth asks…

Should the NFL put a few college teams on the Dolphins schedule next year to boost their confidence?

Think about it. If they go 0-16 there is no possible NFL schedule soft enough to give them and they still have to play New England twice.
