admin answers:

I think you made the case for Moon pretty well.. Cunningham was a great QB, and the best scrambler ever to play the position. But Moon went to 9 Pro Bowls, and thats after spending a good prime of his career in Canada.. If he spent his whole career in the NFL, most would probably put his name with the Montana's and Elway's.. It's really a shame.

so i don't know about you but when it comes to skill and not cheating.....ill go with manning over brady any day of the week.... hell make it year
ok... again not about superbowl wins lol some of the hall of famers don't have rings are they not as good as the bench players who do have rings???

Poor playoff record..

Charles asks…

What does brady have to do to be unarguably the greatest qb ever?

Right now it's still a 3 way argument between brady, Montana and bart starr between who is the all time greatest qb (ironically all 3 were drafted very late)
Bart starr was a championship/MVP machine in his day, Montana couldnt be stopped and if 49ers had kept him....he definately would have been the unarguably greatest qb ever, and brady has 3 rings and thats cool, but if it wasnt for that 07 season with him breaking every single season passing record except yardage he would not be in this coversation)

Bart starr stats4x Pro Bowl selection (1960, 1961, 1962, 1966)
2x First-Team All-Pro selection (1961, 1966)
2x Second-Team All-Pro selection (1962, 1964)
5x NFL champion (1961, 1962, 1965, 1966, 1967)
2x Super Bowl champion (I, II)
2x Super Bowl MVP (I, II)
1966 NFL MVP
1966 UPI NFL MVP
NFL 1960s All-Decade Team
Packers Hall of Fame
Green Bay Packers #15 retired
and at the time then Nfl passing records

Brady stats:4x Pro Bowl selection (2001, 2004, 2005, 2007)
2x All-Pro selection (2005, 2007)
3x Super Bowl champion (XXXVI, XXXVIII, XXXIX)
2x Super Bowl MVP (XXXVI, XXXVIII)
Sportsman of the Year (2005)
SI NFL POY (x1)
Sporting News Sportsman of the Year (2004, 2007)
AP Male Athlete of the Year (2007)
AP NFL MVP (2007)
AP NFL Offensive Player of the Year (2007)
New England Patriots All-time leader
(Passing touchdowns)
And every single season passing record....

then joe montana (4 super bowls...but had the greatest receiver ever to throw it to to win his titles..and still arguably the greatest team ever, but could have had more superbowls if they had kept him.)

then Terry Bradshaw:3x Pro Bowl selection (1975, 1978, 1979)
4x All-Pro selection (1975, 1978, 1979, 1980)
4x Super Bowl champion (IX, X, XIII, XIV)
2x Super Bowl MVP (XIII, XIV)
NFL 1970s All-Decade Team
1978 NFL MVP
1978 Bert Bell Award

then steve young ( Same reason as montana)

then brett favre (has all the career titles, Compared to all the people bafore him..wow)

Dan marino (Passing machine , maybe if he had a better team hed easily be number 1)

John Elway (Knew how to win games regardless of stats and still had a prolific offense)

Then peyton manning, (i still think hes too highon this list, but u cant argue with 3 mvp's but once he finishes his career, he should be past favre.)

Johnny unitas

Sammy baugh (i only put him so low on this list cuz the comp. was just not built for the league that it is today...but still arguably the greatest athlete ever...4 passing td's and 4 int. in one game....wow he played qb and cb in the same game?)

For the brady haters, If it wasnt for that 2007 Obliteration of any defense that brady did to the NFL in 2007 id have still put peyton manning above him, But he won 3 superbowls with 3 completely different offenses (thanks to pats being so cheap at the time) And now thanks to having randy and welker...its only more likely hell win more, But he seems to get no love from alot of people...so asking the brady haters ...what does he have to do to be unarguably the greatest........in your eyes????
Orcelina u are an A-hole!!!
Garry E i cant put baugh and unitas any higher because of their comp back then.....who in todays age could play all those positions baugh played???? dont mix qb with athlete
Its not all about championsships like i said or brady wouldnt be on this list but after an undefeated 07 Record breaking qb ,season now hes on the list
alegria ure a half wit dumb ass....unarguably is an adjective!!!
I still put Montana as my number 1....then brady then starr
would have put otto graham but the stats were too long he won way too many titles with the browns and in mlb too i think(didnt research it) but it was so long ago....it wasnt even worth putting all that up right now.

admin answers:

I agree with previous answers that there will never be just one QB that can be the obvious choice. At this point, I don't see Brady in the top 3. He's great, but he's got a lot of games left to play. But here are a few things that he will have to do to make the top list:
1) Come back strong from his injury
2) Make 75% of the pro bowls for the rest of his career
3) Make the playoffs 75% of the season he has left
4) Prove that Josh McDaniels was not the only genius in that offensive scheme. I want to know that Brady is calling a lot of his own plays and making some offensive decisions before I'd put him in the top

If the undefeated regular season last year is your reasoning behind making the choice, I'd say your wrong. I'm not saying Brady doesn't belong among the top 5 or 10. I do think though that that's a poor argument for putting him up there. It is obvious that it was a major team effort and while Brady's arm certainly helped a lot, it wasn't the sole reason they did so well.

By the way, I looked up "unarguably" out of curiosity and it is, in fact, a word, an adverb to be exact.

John asks…

Doesn't Aaron Rodgers remind you of Tom Brady earlier in his career?

Stepping into the shoes of a legendary QB
Tom Brady - Filling in for Drew Bledsoe one of the NFL's all time passing leaders.
Aaron Rodgers - Taking the place of Brett Favre
Finding success behind a great defense
Tom Brady - Patriots defense led by players like Ty Law and Tedy Bruschi
Aaron Rodgers - Packers defense led by Charles Woodsen and Clay Matthews
Leading their team to the Super Bowl against improbable odds
Tom Brady - Coming in the middle of the season, leading the Patriots to the division title, getting to the Super Bowl, and pulling off one of the greatest upsets of all time against what may have been one of the greatest and most balanced offences in the history of the NFL with the Rams.
Aaron Rodgers - Overcoming concussions and very nearly missing the playoffs to lead the 6th seed Packers in improbably victories against the Eagles, Falcons, and Bears, all on their turf.
Jersey Number
Brady - 12
Rodgers - 12

Does anyone else see it?

admin answers:

Tom Brady actually wasn't as good his first few years, all he had going for him was that Super Bowl win. It took him a while to become as good as he is.
