Questions About Nfl Scores Yahoo Answers

George asks…

Should the NFL change their name to the NGL?

To avoid confusion. When people think of the word football, what springs to mind? 22 people kicking a ball to each other with the view of scoring more goals than their opponents, by KICKING the ball into the goals. That's football.

Football's global governing body is FIFA, an acronym for Fédération Internationale de Football Association (International Federation of Association Football)

We can all agree that Football is the biggest team sport in the world.

But a foreign organisation has chosen to call themselves the NFL, when they have nothing to do with football, they play Gridiron. A foreign game. That would make it plagiarism to use the term football, when it's not. In doing so, it just creates confusions. No more evident than on Yahoo Answers.

I believe the NFL should change their name to the NGL, to have their game unique as they want it to be.

NGL - National Gridiron League. You know it makes sense

admin answers:

There are sports leagues with the exact same abbreviation

Example AFL could stand for Arena Football League and Australian Football League

So why should any sport like American Football Australian Football change its name just to make FIFA happy

Betty asks…

Wouldn't it be awesome if NFL teams had marching band teams in support of that team?

When you go to a college football game or a high school football game to support your school or team, what do you notice when your game opens up before kickoff and during halftime (most of the time)?

Before kickoff, you will sometimes see your school's marching band or pep band playing the national anthem, and during half-time, they'd usually put on a good show (especially show style marching bands).

Wouldn't it be cool if each NFL team had something like that? It would be like having an NFL band per team, and you'd have that same cool atmosphere and sounds of real instruments playing in the background as you watch your favorite professional team beat each other to pieces, and trying to score.

It's a pretty far-fetched thought, but just imagine it...

A team would be playing, and in the background, you'd hear awesome instrumental versions of your favorite songs.

It would be like how a college football player dreams of The NFL, the band members would dream about joining a team band.

What would the public (Yahoo Answers) think about this?

admin answers:

It's not exactly farfetched as you may think, as both the Washington Redskins and the Baltimore Ravens have their own marching bands. More teams might have some too, but I know for a fact those two teams do.
